    Infield Masks

    My dd umpired for the local rec league this summer. It was a mixture of pure rec teams and c or b level competitive teams. All the comp. teams wore masks and the rec teams, the ones most likely to get hurt did not. Anytime I watched a game I felt like I was waiting for the worst to happen.

    DD caught 70% of the innings this past summer. Just had high school tryouts, stuck on JV for now as a catcher a grade younger is a "nationally ranked" player and the other catcher is a senior and all seniors make Varsity.

    NPF suspends operations. New pro team formed in Florida.

    I know they have wood bat leagues for baseball players in the summer. Most major areas also have a college basketball league made of current and former college players. Don't know why they can't do something like this for softball.

    Most softball fans are college softball fans. It irritarted me every pro fastpitch game I have gone to with my daughter (which is only 3). No mention is made of where the player went to college. The game would get more exposure if they play on what these players did in college. Saw the USSSA...

    The think that surprised me was that this was supposed to be a team with a lot of speed. I did not see speed. There were plenty of chances for speed to steal a hit and it never happened, never. Case in point a double play on a bunt.

    Absolutely academics first. Softball is just a way to make it into some of the more select academic schools.

    I think I have to disagree. Yes working on your own is important. But playing with and especially against better players makes you better.

    Here there are always teams for girls not playing HS. But, I live in the KC metro where MO plays in the fall and KS plays in the spring.

    Where are you located? We are in the KC metro and PG bought out the local event promoter and took everything over their tournaments. Apparently what used to be 2 organizations in KC putting on tournaments there are now four.

    This dude seems like a tool. Sorry if that's not nice. Some feedback respectfully point 2 and 5 are the same. You complain about softball being too nice and as an example you use how you made a mistake in your 20's, but you expect 12's and 14's to be better than you were in your 20's...

    Here is my big concern this is a new organization and they assign one clearly inexperienced easily influenced umpire behind the plate for all five bracket games for 18A. There is no excuse for that I understand that there is an umpire shortage and in our area where there used to just be two...

    it was five strikes,. Count was 1-2 swing and miss, still 1-2, ball. 2-2 swing and miss still 2-2, ball, 3-2 swing and miss and out.

    They were literally the worst crew I have ever seen. In that same game the plate umpire overruled the field ump on a play at second ruling her out for the last out. But, she still counted the run that crossed the plate a good 15 seconds after the play was over. In our game one of our players...

    Runners on first and second. Hit ball hits the rubber bouncing into left field. Base umpire screams dead ball and puts the hitter at first and the other runners at third and second. What would the rule be that he applied?
