    Arm out early

You've got in covered already. Right, obviously just delete the hop & move in the direction of more fluid & explosive short, coiled movements. Note Juan's footwork sequence including his pivot side hip. On the top, compact small C's including his core. Like your daughter, Juan was not big...

    Arm out early

Video = the eye that never lies. Attached are links for you both to compare. Pay close attention to the sequencing in both the lower & upper halves, front & backsides. One is your daughter, the other would be a world class pitcher. What's obvious is that your daughter is athletic...

    Nija Canady Stanford Pitcher

Good rise & curve. What year? Two areas where I see potential for a difference-making transformation. Both upper quadrants, where one is in the premotion & one is in both the front & back side. Both are changes that probably should have taken place several years ago already. Youth-to-college...

    Zip balls

Good morning, I'm searching for a few Zip Balls. If anyone has any that they would like to part ways with, please feel free to PM me. Thanks, Chris

    Team USA vs Japan

Japan just had the better skilled team. They were young, well conditioned and played more aggressively and with greater urgency. Their team speed on both sides played at a faster level, which created more pressure. By comparison, Team USA just couldn’t match. Defense was solid and had some...

    Fastpitch hitters

Love it! Early ID … where the hands took the arms & shoulders up to no man’s land. Chances are good that she’s eliminated that pitch & location from her opponent’s scouting report. You just can’t replace the OU championship experience, confidence & competance.

    Changeup Location

ArmWhip, Anywhere she can get a strike … which is always dependant on the batter’s ability and/or momentum. Typically, the margins of inner, outer and lower zone. Use the change as a multi-dimensional tool. You can use it a strike, a waste pitch, a setup. etc.

    Japan pitcher Goto Miu

Absolutely, she’s really good jimcat. Athletic, can move it through the planes & has a nice change. The change motion is just a bit different than her power pitches, where she’s pulling back her head back just a little more. When she gets it all together, will be a force for sure. Cap tip to...

    Mevo Start vs Hero 9

Thanks Josh! Professional & informative. Chris

Montana Fouts needs to come here and learn that her palm has to be up at 9 o'clock

She brought her "A" game to the main stage and made a case that set the standard to beat. Just a couple short years ago as a freshman, she made a similar statement against Oklahoma in Game 1. Unfortunately, she wasn't rewarded with Game 2. The rest as they say ... is history. She'll be on a...

    Sr Year

Vids ... nice work, looks great. 🥎 Enjoyed watching her identify those pitch types & locations where she's fluid & purposeful with her bat head to her contact points. Her in-swing adjustment & small controlled delay was a work of perfection taking an up & out on a rope to right-center...

    Color of sunglass lenses

Hi Kris, There's a bit of info here that may be of help ... https://www.smithoptics.com/en_US/sunglass-tech.html I think both a great fit and superior optical clarity is a starting point, with lense color/tint being a personal preference. Although I never personally noticed a difference...

    A year into the journey

Hi RAD, Technically, those are two seperate actions. I'm sure you know that, it's just semantics. If you can somewhat consistantly achieve both on the offensive side, you've unquestionably presented yourself with a level of advantage. However, like most things in life ... it's not a gaurantee...

Awesome, keep up the great work.

    SUN IN OUR EYES

You're right RAD. Otherwise, a nice summer day in SoCal. Long sleeves & jackets ... I know, I know, a cold 65 degrees. 🥶:D Do you know if that's Jason Iuli coaching 3rd for the Stars?

    SUN IN OUR EYES

Hi Rad, Such a terrible time of day ... and a facing West - Southwest too. 😆 Since you can't control those externalities, plus there's not much she could really adjust to her catching positioning in those conditions. You could try to find her a GOOD pair of sunnies, and if her facemask has an...

    Jayleen - 13yo

You're doing great, keep working on her rhythym. The potential advantage of the step back, protection of her grip (not a priority at her age now, but will be later) and drive momentum by utilizing both legs & both arms. She checks all the boxes. Such as has been suggested by others, she's...

    AB 16 y.o.

Sure, walk-thoughs are useful for developing the rhythym & flow (feel) of how the upper and lower can work together naturally. Prefer to keep it simple with only one step into stance to keep movements short but definitive. Useful drill - use it to accomplish what you'd like. Chris

Most effective tool you use to take notes....

If there's a spot for it in this thread ... how about mental notes. 🤔
