Coaches never said anything to umps as the girls were hitting her pretty good. Umps were talking about it but nothing was said to the pitcher or their coaches. Never seen that before so was just curious what people’s opinions are about it.
Daughters team ran into this pitcher at a tourney up here in Canada. Have never seen a pitcher like this before. Arm is doing 2 rotations? Illegal pitch?
Here is a vid of DD from U12 provincials last year. Kinda looks like the same hand action with ball going down and out

Just wanting to get some clarification which way the pressure will make the ball move. We have her pitching a peel drop which is her fastball ala hillhouse so just want to make sure I have the finger pressure thing right so the ball will cut in or out a little.
So what is the proper way to use finger pressure, have read completely opposite ways of doing it. Finger pressure with index finger will make the ball cut in on a RHB and pressure with ring finger will cut out. Is this correct? Have also read the opposite where index finger pressure will make...
Thanks for the replies. Bill I have a few of your dvd's we got when she started pitching a couple years ago. She sat and went through them with me. She was sad when I mentioned you had some health problems. She doesn't do the the one arm back swing, she just brings her elbow back with hand in...
I can't seem to get this figured out. If you watch men pitch it seems many have a lot more bend in the arm circle. Should there be more bend to start? Kinda like whipping a towel. I get my DD to have a slight bend, elbow just unlocked a little. Just need to clarify it so I make sure I'm not...
Wife said they called her out so did not watch all the way to end but after watching the end they don't show the call. Read a comment from someone who watched the game and it was ruled a double play.
We used these last weekend and were awesome. Just add water, doesn't even need to be cold water, wring them out and are very cold, last a few hours. Can even be machine washed. Not sure if you have them or some version in the US or not.
So RB are you meaning fingers come up the inside or outside by moving hand position. Like I said we play around with finger pressure but don't change position of the hand.
So to me it looks like the hand coming coming up side of the ball and not finger pressure. We do play around with finger pressure moving middle and pointer finger to one side then middle and ring finger to one side. So if the fingers are on outside of ball, middle and pointer, it should break...
Played in Manitoba U12 Provincial Championships last weekend and wife got a video of this pitch from gold medal game. Not something we practice which is only fastball/peel drop and change up. Looks like its breaking down and out and seems like hand is coming up side of ball.
Thanks guys. I can't seem to break her of the bending, sometimes she doesn't do it, then bam back to bending. Not a whole lot of circle time in our seasons, by the time snow is gone and warm enough to get outside we are well into April, winter is all about hockey for her so not much practice...
Hey everyone I have been reading and lurking this forum since last year. DD is on her second year of pitching in 12U in cold Canada so maybe gets in 3 months of practice and games a year, very long cold winters around here. Guess I am her pitching coach as no pitching coaches in our neck of the...
