    Leaning In

    My daughter has a lot of that. Most everything is to right field. Never, ever pulls the ball. She has good bat speed and great power for being 11, but always casting. She has good lower half, when she isn't bending over.

    Just remember, the only classes that truly count for GPA according to NCAA eligibility are your core classes. They "throw out" the non-core classes to calculate your actual eligibilty GPA, to "level" the GPA playing field. Too many kids taking easy classes to get an A and boost their GPA.

    I agree with this 100%. Always thank them and then email them afterwards. It lets the coaches know who showed up for the camp and who showed up to be potential student athletes at the school.     Does anyone have any experience either way? My DD plays on a local team who plays showcase tourneys, but I feel she won't get as many looks as she would if she was part of a big organization. Am I right about this, or is it possible to get noticed with a small local organization?

    New Boombah catchers gear

    It is not the same gear. The chest and legs are almost exact but the helmet fits a lot different according to my DD. She loves her Boombah gear, but we sent the helmet back and she is still using her old Boombah DEFCON v1 helmet.

    Vinci vs. Worth Liberty Advanced vs All Star

    My daughter uses the Liberty Advanced Catchers Mitt and she was hell bent about using it until she finally tried it. Now she wont use anything else. But she is a little stronger for her age. It took a while to break it in properly.

    NECC not worth the investment....

    We have the DVD and it is good. However, after having my DD at the NECC camp in Sarasota this year, it was amazing. The actual info that was passed and the one on one instruction was amazing. Plus it is always better to have someone teach them sometimes other than dad.

    Demarini bats that fail compression test

    My oldest has CF6 32/21, CF7 32/22, CF8 32/22 and I can honestly say that CF8 is a beast right out of the wrapper. She loved her CF6, swung it over 500 hits and that CF8 was just as hot on her first hit.
