Amy,
Hey, if it works, it works.
My 16u DD was a horrible, low elbow sidearmer when she was younger and we searched high and low for a fix.
A neighbor turned us onto this:
We'd chalk or tape a homeplate on the floor or ground, have my DD stand within a foot or two of it and throw a...
**BAT is Sold** Thank you DFP'ers for giving our MFB a new good home!
I have a barely used 32/22 MFB gathering dust in the garage. Could make a nice xmas gift? If anyone is still looking for these.
I'll add some pictures later.
We have the opportunity for my 14U DD to attend a Packaged Deal pitching clinic here in the near future but I'm worried about what she'd get out of it.
My main fear is we don't have any IR style coaching within at three hour driving radius of home (that I can find) and I don't want to pay...
Thanks EcoT, already wearing out my second wagon. It's usually reserved for chairs and a cooler and sometimes a hitting net and bucket (depending on which kid I'm following at that time).
Marriard: Do you like the "tri-feet" on the newer monopods? They seem like they'd be more hassle then...
As of now, I'm using a Swiss Gear laptop backpack that I hang on the fence.
It contains:
Ipad or laptop
GoPro camera (w/small case)
1Tb drive (w/small case)
LynkSpider (yup, case)
External battery
Glove mending kit
Clipboard case & scoresheets
assorted shoelaces, chinstraps, helmet hardware...
Anyone know anything about the SE town fields of Markey, Adair & Frank White?
Way things sound my kids may well end up getting a lot of pool time at the hotel.
Pitch for the Cure weekend here in Huskerland. 118 teams playing on 4 or 5 softball complexes all wearing varying shades of pink and doing a whole lotta fundraising for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Hope the weather holds out!
SanDisk, Lexars, Samsungs, PNYs are all good. You'll want to get 64GBs or larger if you record a lot. 32GB's if you only get a couple games/weekend.
Main thing you want to look for when you buy a card is the transfer rate. 85MB/sec transfer rate minimum for recording HD. Anything lower...
Buckeye,
Got a gopro and lynkspyder?
Record on your gopro while you maintain a basic paper scorebook during the game, then later you can score the game on GC while watching the film at your leisure.
I do this a lot just to make sure I got things in correctly.
Could a lot of that give in the top be fixed by simply pulling the laces tight again? My oldest DD's glove gets pretty loose and all I do is re-tighten the laces and she's good to go.
I never really could see what they called her on. My guess would be her drive foot?
On a secondary note: Does anyone else think this young lady burns a ton of excessive energy on her wind up with her near full squat every pitch? Mind you, I fully understand when you pitch like her, you don't...
I agree and will add on to that. I have a bucket of assorted balls and randomly pick out 2-3 of them for a practice session. Every time I throw a different ball back to my DD, she has to pitch with whatever she gets. I'm hoping that in this way she doesn't get it in her head that her pitching...
Still waiting on a CF8 -10 33/23. Core, tell your supplier to light a fire under it. My DD is starting to sound like a broken record. "Your bat guy get back to you about my new bat?"
I have the 3+ silver/lynkspyder/backup battery combo and I usually set mine up high on the backstop with a medium view.
I only record at 720p as I just use it to review plays for statistics. I turn it on via wifi after the coin toss and check the picture via phone occasionally and turn it off...
