What kind of coach not only cheats the game like that but forces kids to be part of it. Non of them will ever forget how they cheated. Some will be embarrassed and it will add to others idea that cheating is no big deal.
I think it looks pretty good. Maybe a bit of a forearm pivot point vs a hpp. IMO a hpp is easier with hands right in front of the rear shoulder and a right angle bend in the front arm vs her hands behind the shoulder and her more open bend in the front arm.
Is her rear foot turned a little backward? I would just always start a little coiled in the stance.
Hard to see real well from this angle but looks like the gears aren’t engaged in her rear hip socket (the bug squishing look). Like she is turning back and then to catch up she is pushing. Her...
We used to use the ques of square up deep and square up behind the ball. And spend a lot of time practicing hitting oppo. And I often felt like the “rear leg driven swing” was actually more of a back driven swing. I usually taught a slightly to aggressively turned in rear leg, a preset coil...
Wow! Maddie has really grown up! Looks like she is doing awesome and has a great understanding of what she is doing. This should be a really exciting year for you guys.
I was just cruising through games on espn yesterday checking up on how the girls I know were doing and thought I would...
Probably maybe I guess Tewks if I absolutely had to. :(. One of the others I see likes to write articles about terms and actions we coined on dfp, but totally gets them backwards. Another came here, argued against everything, now teaches everything he argued against with the self promotional...
Just a non judgmental don't create any waves question, has anyone ever seen Looper recruiting at tournaments? I see Jake all the time, but
never seen Looper. See Jaime all the time, but can't off top of my head think of anyone she is talking to.
Good to see ya getting some daddy time! Long shot, but if you are taking her back to school, wouldn't be a terribly far detour to meet up at our indoor facility.
Phoenix bats makes a bat designed for girl's to practice with. It's -8 and has a small sweet spot. I think it's less than $100. We use a worth wood slowpitch bat. I think it's 34/28.
Leave it alone! She has better attributes in her swing than 99.5% of the girls out there. If anything, I would just talk about having hands closer to her rear shoulder, a tighter power < in the right arm, and more of a L in the left arm. BUT if she is squaring up balls, leave it alone!
Dd had a teammate, almost set national hr record, was big and extremely strong, now hitting D1 homeruns. She would swing a 33/23. It's player preference...when you can hit 250ft consistantly with a 23oz bat, only reason to go heavier is because the player likes the feel. My kid likes -9 and...
I like weighted balls. Not for strength building but for mechanics. The little extra weight gives enough resistance to help change a pushy arm throw to a pulling the ball throw. Long toss tends to change the throw into a nicer pull of the ball. Do some light resistance bands to feel the pull...
Correct on the 3! My dd has 4 pairs of under armor. 4 pairs, because she is a slob! One tourney I was wiping off uniform dirt in the hotel tub hours before a game because she didn't unpack and do laundry from the last weekend.
Just got home from first off season hitting session I had with dd. She wanted to just do drills and hit on a tee. Same things we worked on will get you the side effect of extension. We focused on her keeping her hands tight to her back shoulder and her back shoulder "delivering, throwing...
