    Drop 8 and drop 9 lxts have lasted a long time for my two. That may be the case for most bats also.

    Rawlings liberty advanced is what my dd has been using since she was 9. She is now 14 and is on her 3rd one. She was pretty small at that age and was able to use it without issue.

    Straddle the bag vs. Front of the bag

    My 2022 dd is a SS that straddles. Definitely gets cleated more often but the tags look better and a quick swipe tag is almost always is called an out. My 2026 dd is catcher. Our SS's goes to the front of the bag and often don't let the ball travel and/or catch it too far in front of bag...
