Love the little step back move. I agree with W here. Chop down. Get rid of the up move to ball. It’s affecting her ability to really adjust. Good start for sure.
Complete waste of time. Both claiming some kind of victory when both were trying to prove different things. So, I guess they both got out of it what they wanted.
If you can stay hinged you will end up coiling the rear hip when you pick up the lead foot. You don't coil to hinge. You hinge to coil. The amount of coil is style. Rotators lack hinge. Hinging is sagittal. It puts the core/middle in a good position to gas and then brake instead of all...
WW mentioned this before - she is not in a good hitting posture. Hinge into the hips and stay there. Rotate the middle to start the swing from this posture is where you should be spending your time IMO.
Both hitters use reciprocal actions as part of their Trunk rotation Very hard to shift from using something other than the core to set up the core to turn the trunk.
Is Trout getting down there and with the ability to stay on top without the reciprocal action? How would a hitter with rear leg IR get there? By extreme tilt?
Looking at the swing in terms of tighter spaces to get more done. Big separation between hips and shoulders works better in golf than hitting. But even the longest hitters in golf close really fast.

Understanding reciprocal actions is important. She shed some serious light on that.
Ferree came in with no experience in baseball/softball. No preconceived notions about how things should be. Her lens is how the body is designed to move. There are many baseball pitchers in particular that owe her either directly or indirectly big time. Hitting is getting an overhaul bc she...
Try spreading the feet really wide and turn middle from there. The position has your legs in abduction. Much easier to get the rear hip into ER and as the pelvis gets turned by middle the front hip will go into IR and act as a brake. This is not a game swing per se but may help her develop...
You can rotate legs and hips and not have a connection to the barrel. Use your middle.
Everything above your pelvis and below your ribs is your middle. There won't be a lot of independent range of motion and that is the important thing. You can rotate your legs/hips very far without it...
