    Is rotation nonsense?

Bonesaw Ted and Carew were similar. It looks like slop and strikes like lightning. 👍

    Is rotation nonsense?

Jeff Conine was the player from the Marlins. The older he got, the less posture.

    Is rotation nonsense?

There was an old player, played on the Marlins 1997 WS team. He had some success. He was upright, the swing and posture definitely were at odds like the old setpro gif comes to mind when the posture and swing plane didn’t match up. There is nothing upright in Arozarena swings. The posture and...

    Is rotation nonsense?

In all the hitters I’ve look at, nobody started with the bat vertical, then let the barrel dip like he does and then level out the swing. Ted is unique. One of a kind. TM would call it arm action and slop. It is slop in the start of the swing.

    Bat Barrel Position

Correct, pointing the knob to the catcher is a style.

    Is rotation nonsense?

Regardless of who coined the swing as rotational, I’ve heard nothing but rotation from the start.

    Is rotation nonsense?

I see the hips and shoulders turning together. 😛

    Is rotation nonsense?

    Ok, it’s a combination of planes. 😛

    Is rotation nonsense?

This swing wasn’t the plane I’m talking about, lol.

    Is rotation nonsense?

Is rotation nonsense? Watching the game and watching how you could split the body right down the center creating the front and back, Frontal plane. This goes for both hitting and pitching.

    Bat Barrel Position

Acuna (no other way to explain it) pulls on the barrel. Unless you can describe his style, I’ve seen this style in hitters.

    Bat Barrel Position

Is he slotting the back elbow to soon?

AT (Alexander technique) is about more then one thing. For example it gets the postural muscles back into shape. And everyone says it’s not about posture. There is no perfect position to attain, as far as head, spine relationship. I have several books on AT that I just stopped reading because...

The swing and mis has a lot of bat drag or slop. On the other swing she is slotting while shifting the weight. The same issue is in both swings.

Got it. She is slotting the back elbow in the comparison videos, side by side. This lets slop enter because nothing is happening while the elbow slots. Swing becomes disconnected. Edit: Now that I’ve look at it more, she seems to slot the back elbow as the weight moves forward. Might be call...

kinesthetic awareness. There are other things, but most of what you read in nonsense.

lol, I have many books trying to explain the technique. They all have their own spin on the technique and in some they just go off the deep end. The technique is about rediscovering the 6th sense, Proprioception.

Dixon tried to repackage the Alexander technique. He doesn’t understand the technique from my personal experience with him. Sean Dixon is no athlete, over developed calf’s. Couldn’t run until he worked on it. The Alexander technique involves the reflex muscular system. There is no way to do...

    Bat Barrel Position

Yes ,barrel dissecting the head has the barrel in the shoulder plane. So the theory is it’s better or one last step you have too worry about. Compared to starting vertical and then getting on plane of the torso tilt.
