You need to judge a bat after 3 weeks of swings imo.
I dont care what bat someone prefers...my point was exactly this. To go out and radar hits out of the wrapper can lead to confidence issues.
If you use a well broken in bat, then do a brand new one...thats misleading and thats what the video was doing. Thats why i said, just go
out and hit some balls, and leave the electronics in the house for a couple weeks.
I mean, if the bat doesnt feel right, she will know pretty soon. But if you are showing numbers slower then her other bats because a bat
is brand new, you're planting thoughts that the bat isnt as good already. We all know hitting is very mental.

bought both DDs a Mantra over a year ago.....DD2 liked it from the get, and DD1 reluctantly started to use it more and more early last summer......it has become her go to over her GA these days, and I bought another in -9 for her recently......that took a ton of swings for DD1 to become a fan

I also bought DD1 a 33 -9 PC (I got a good deal) to try out - it some got use as a practice bat, and she always complained that it didn't feel right......she told me yesterday that she's coming around to it (she hit 3-4 out during BP with it yesterday haha)

sometimes the bat needs swings, for sure......and sometime girls need swings with bats, too......it goes both ways

I'll betcha $1 I'm buying another power carbon for DD1 before this journey is done lol

to add to this: the mantra 100% needed quite a few swings to open up.......DD1 came home from TB practice a few sundays ago and just said it was all of the sudden on fire (also had some glue come off the end cap, because it has a little rattle) - that's when I bought a 2nd one and made the original gamer only, but it had a ton of swings on it......we saw similar when DD2 had a quatro, it needed a lot of swings

i suspect some of the issue with the PC was simply getting enough swings on it to where it opened up a little.......but some of it was just getting comfortable with the weight/balance/SS, and some of it was surely gaining confidence in it

all of the top bats get it done, some may be a little better, but really, for most is 1-2mph exit speed really making a difference, especially when talking practice swings vs real game swings? confidence and ability to replicate quality swings with the chosen tool is a bigger factor imho

my dd's ghost has been coming alive lately. Of course i like to believe its all DD coming alive. She's absolutely been hitting shots further than the first week. Before i read this thread, last week she said her bat was cracking... it was just the bat beginning to web. Now reading thread... i need the :GOOD;VERYGOOD: gif....

All the 2022s Ghost need some swings over the 2020s. The bat is hot, just needs few swings to get there...haha

They swapped the thickness in the outside comp and inner barrel to try and give a little more durability without giving up performance. The 2020s, the outer composite was super thin and the inner barrel was thicker. That lead to instant webbing and prob some early cracking. Now the outer composite is a bit thicker and the inner barrel
is thinner and more reactive. So its more reactive and moves to let the outer composite move more because its thicker. So the outside composite needs a few swings now
