Where is the best place to hang the team's profile sheet - outfield, dugout, behind the plate, all, or someplace else? DD's new team has it's first tourney this weekend and it's the first time DD has been on a team that is trying to promote its girls (first year 16U) and I made up the profile sheet for distribution. It's only a tourney but JIC any coaches are wandering about having been invited by our (or other) girls we'd like to post a sheet protector from a carabiner with several copies of the sheet and upcoming schedule. If custom varies by region, we're going to be the extreme north NY area. TIA for your advice!

I'm the designated profile sheet transportation and deployment manager for DD's team. I usually place it behind the plate because at tournaments that area is usually clear for coaches to access. It never works out if you place it where the coaches have to search for it or fight through parents to get to it. Although some parents sit where they really shouldn't be but that's a whole different discussion, lol.

I also run the camera and it's just easier to have both in the same area - I have been known to walk off without the profile sheets if they are somewhere not easily seen when I'm packing up the camera gear.

If you're going to be in extreme northern NY this weekend, I assume you'll be indoors, so your options will probably be limited by the facility you're in. Also, bring some mittens, it might be cold.

I live in, well, I wouldn't call it "extreme" Northern NY, but I'm in the Adirondacks for sure (about 1.5 hrs. South from the US/CA border), and there is only 1 indoor, domed facility in this area (I officiate games here as part of our local group). I've seen some teams bringing banners to hang, but very, VERY few and far between, especially with how fast the games go by and how fast teams have to pack up and move on (Friday/Saturday pool-play games are 80 minutes drop-dead with 5 minutes between games. Sunday is 70 minutes finish the inning with 10 minutes between).

I was at that location two weekends ago. One team hung their banner on Hitting Net they brought with them to each field. It was freaking COLD. In the low 50s in the Dome (-10 outside).

^ Are we're talking about the same place (in Queensbury, NY)? If so, I have the info. as to why it was that cold in the Dome (last weekend was actually very pleasant, surprisingly).

The facility director did send out a good note about the temperature in the dome before the 14U tournament last weekend.

I also agree the temps were actually not too bad for the 14U. I needed my hoodie and occasionally my gloves when I was by the exit door near Field 4. I need to bring toe warmers next time.
