So you were mad that your team was losing AND your pitcher committed an illegal pitch, but the umpire is wrong because ... ?
Where did I say the umpire was wrong? I said I was not happy: and the board explodes! I thought umpires had thick skin but I can see that you are a very sensitive bunch. I'm really sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. BTW this was in a 12U summer rec league game, I was helping to coach my grand daughter's team, and no, she wasn't the pitcher. I just wanted to know what to tell my travel ball pitchers if the situation ever came up in one of their games.

The board didn't explode. Three people questioned your belief that umpires shouldn't call the rules in the rule book all the time. No-one seemed hurt or even defensive, until you started projecting in your last post.

If all you wanted was an answer to what to tell your pitchers that easy... "Follow the rules because the umps might call them."

What do you mean "what do I tell them?" Tell your travel ball pitchers not to throw illegal pitches at any time.

I do not understand what you are getting on about. I don't understand what your point or purpose was on this @ArmWhip . While we had some fun at your expense, I'll apologize for that and instead say that I have lost my patience on this.

As for you castigation about being think skinned ... yeah, sure. I will say I have gotten very thin skinned when it comes to this culture of "the vicious evil umpire ruined my daughter's life by calling _____." At some point this :poop: has to end. Calling a game by the rules is not an affront to you or an attack on your child IT IS CALLING THE GAME BY THE RULES. AND YES IT IS JUST A GAME.

So, yeah. If you consider me "thin skinned" for deciding that I am going to call out incidents and "innocent" comments that have furthered the culture of abuse of sports officials ... yeah, I'm thin skinned and I'm just gonna' get skinnier.
