I read on another forum that in 2019 Alo couldn’t hit the pitching at the tryout.

Seems like exactly the kind of thing that would light a players competitive fire.

I forget…. Has she done well lately?!!!

One more thing I was thinking about last night…

After watching high level college softball all spring, I tried to watch some high level tb video of DD’s former org. I couldn’t watch it. It moved so slow. Fielding was slow. Baserunners….. my god, is she injured?

After watching the Olympics- kind of the same thing. The speed of the game is another level up compared to D1 college.

Stolen from another forum.

This requires no explanation.

And I’ll add that the price of my Howard Dobson instructional hitting video DVD I was going to put on EBay tanked in the last week.

I’m sure not a fan.

We will never have a pitching duo like this again.

I hate missed opportunities. Hate with all caps. Bold the font.
I think the only coaching job close to as bad was Murph in WCWS. Sat Fouts after the perfect game and offense took way too many first pitch strikes. I have it from a great source that OU was prepping for Bama the entire time and were shocked they lost.

And how about Cervantes? Maybe this Olympian would have been a good choice at catcher for team USA?

One thing about Murph- yeah, that was a bad call on his part. But his players have energy. I like his teams. No D1 softball teams are all rainbows and unicorns but Alabama projects a good vibe from the field.

I think both reed and McCleney are slappers but they both mainly opted to hit away lefty for the Olympics. I’m not sure though. I’ve definitely seen reed slap in a game before and I think I’ve seen McCleney slap here and there. It’s strange that neither of them really tried to slap in the Olympic Games. Maybe the defense of the Olympic teams is just too good for slap hits to be as effective as they are in college? Or maybe they both just prefer swinging away?
Don't think that slapping on a turf baseball field would be productive. Glad to see this farce come and go. If the IOC won't give the game the respect it deserves and have them play on an a proper field why bother? Was like watching D9 games at ESPN WWOS on baseball fields. Not a positive moment for the sport. Biggest news about the sport this week was Texas and Oklahoma heading to the SEC.
