Thank you all. I agree that she doesnt need a drop 12 bat. its her swing mechanics that are at fault but he dad had her use a Bustos 32-13 and she "did well" with it. ***SIGH*** he said she hits everything off the end and wants to try a longer, lighter bat. She is on the small side but at 12U, she should be able to hit with a 31-11 or -10 for that matter. I was just asking the all knowledgeable board for some info. And as always, you pulled through. Thanks!
Ha ....you are so right. Everything off the end is a symptom....its the Indian here not the arrow

There's a reason that's not a common size...

I heard some advice from some people pretty knowledgable about getting girls up to drop 10 as soon as they're able. And I did compare bats in the store and the drop 10s do appear to have a bigger sweet spot.

While I know a too heavy or too long bat can be death. But as I've said before, an ounce is basically 6 paper clips in weight. It's next to nothing.

Also, check the BAT DATABASE. Bats don't weight what is printed on them. Know what you're really getting.
I agree. If she is worried about the weight I would drop down an inch. It’s easy to focus on the weight, but I tend to think the length will get you in as much trouble if not more than the weight if a bat is too long.

My daughter uses an Axe Element drop 12. (Balance, Alloy). She loves it.
I was wondering about the Axe bats. My granddaughter was just gifted an Axe Avenge Power Gap. She's not allowed to use it except in games says the coach. No games going on yet so, not sure what to expect with this bat. I think its 31 -10.

The Avenge is a composite bat I am not familiar with. The Element is alloy. So the only thing they have in common is the axe handle. My DD and I both love the swing feel with it. Some people think it is a gimmick, but there are quite a few MLB players swinging an axe handle. And if the player likes it they hit better. If the player doesn’t like it they hit worse.
