So my daughter is 5'0 about 95lbs, she is a gap to gap type hitter, but does have some pop. I am looking at getting a new bat for Xmas and have focused on the 2021 Demarini CF either 30in or 31in -11/-10 or the 2020 CF version. What are the differences, is it really going to be worth the extra cash to get the newest version? She is currently swinging the Bustos 30in -13, it is very easy for her to swing but the ball seems to die off of even very solid contact. Just looking for any ideas or advice, on models and which drop would probably be best. Thanks in Advance.

For a girl your daughter's size, I would stay with the drop 11. You will definitely see a dramatic difference between the CF and the Bustos. As for the different models, save yourself some money and see if you can find a 2020. As far as I know, there are no drastic technology changes this year and the 2020 should be fine.

I appreciate the help, I am probably going to go with the 2020 CF 31 -11... Where is the best place to look at picking one up, also do you still get the 1 year warranty even though the bat is not the newest version.. Appreciate the help!

Yeah, what @ANNASDAD said.. The barrelllength difference between -11 and -10 warrants getting the -10 and demarini's are always spot on regarding weight. Don't be afraid to try it out. However, only you and DD can decide what's right

We were given a 2019 PXT that is 31/21oz to try, it swings pretty heavy... How will that 31 -10 DeMarini CF differ, I am assuming that it will be night and day... appreciate the advice everyone!

I honestly have never owned a PXT before, but that's a apples to oranges comparison. The CF series is widely known here to weigh exactly (or in some cases less) on the money as it's listed / stamped weight! Demarini is the one bat manufacturer that is always true to it's weight!

In a Slugger, the LXT is going to be the most balanced, true to weight bat in their lineup, not the Xeno, and I guess (?) not the PXT. The only CF bat we ever owned was the 2014 black & red 31/21, it was a fantastic bat, and my DD was 13 and very small also at that time!

PXT is about the heavyest swinging bat on the market. CF is pretty much the lightest.

Since your currently at a 30/17, I'd tend to recommend 31/20. You're still going up an inch and 3 oz. If stick with a 30 inch, then maybe a drop 10. You didn't mention age, but I think the drop 11 CF is usually the best bat for many especially smaller 10u/12u players. I think there's a reason strong girls break them easily, because they are little hot sticks.

And yes if buy a previous year model from an authorized dealer you still get the warranty.

What is the advantage of the shorter barrel on the drop 10?
