They don't want them to be pregnant when the D1 coach is watching?
Only had one player I'd need to mother-hen like that to ensure she'd be safe in her room during out of town tournaments. Parent would leave her in the Hotel parking lot and go party until 2-3 am.

I'd find out about it the following day she's been allegedly drinking beer with grown strangers until the early morning. (a mandatory reporter was giving me the 411)

You'd like to think a parent wouldn't do something like that. Concerned when a kid's missing practices because she's vomiting and for next 6 weeks at every practice throwing up in the dugout, on the field, or in the parking lot. Had to shut down the teammate rumors/talking double quick.

I didn't schedule another out of town tournament with scheduled Friday night games because I can't trust a parent to keep his own DD safe. Sad because she could've probably played at D1 or D2 level but not with that level of parental support.

Looking at how they conduct themselves when doing great and when things don't go their way during the game. Attitude checks.

So they need to be reminded how to act/react to possibly obtain a partial/full scholarship. What's wrong with being yourself?

We also represent 'our' team and program. Not just ourself!

ps. this comes from a person who tends to draw outside of the lines!
My college Coach Pete Manarino told me at an alumni function,
"Turbo, you have always followed the beat of a different drummer."
While true, i still understand the importance of standards!
