Thanks for all the replies. I definitely don't want to make any big changes for fear of making things worse, but am always open to little tweaks that could improve things. She's never been to a hitting coach, just a lot of us watching videos, using this site, and a whole lot of front toss to see what works and what doesn't. She prefers the ball to center (or maybe a touch right center), but can turn on a ball like in the first clip, and hits well opposite field like in the last hitting clip. That pitch was a low outside change-up that I was a little surprise she was able to put over the fence.

Probably the best and most effective thing you can do for her

"That pitch was a low outside change-up that I was a little surprise she was able to put over the fence."
Why were you surprised? Does she normally struggle with that pitch?

I’m not a fan of the action in the below gif. The hands level (drop) as she is reading the pitch. This action causes a low finish/follow through. I do like her overall pattern though as W=W alluded to and I believe a thought process of down to or a more direct path to the ball may be a good thought for her. I believe her core does a good....... right now she tends to tilt THEN go forward/turn. IMO it should be Go forward/turn AND tilt .... JMHO & good luck!

your dd has a classic baseball swing. She’s able to pull the ball to all fields. Makes adjustments out front. She gets on plane deep w her arms. Nothing wrong w that. Mauga does it the same way. She’s second all time in HRs in the NCAA and played in a much tougher conference in college. Yeah I said it. LOL. Good luck to your DD going forward. She reminds me of the old timers like Stan the man

I was thinking the same thing...... While I was watching her videos all I could think about is the old timers swings and how her swing reminds me of that. I think that the low hand sets that they typically launched from was due to the extreme weight of the bats being used .

Wth does that mean.. :p

essentially stopping the body and releasing the barrel. No push. There’s 2 patterns for the hands, pull and push. if you force oppo you are creating a push w the hands the other way. The ‘swing’ is usually steep and delayed letting the ball always get deep. Pull is more of getting on plane a bit deeper and releasing the barrel when it needs to be, based on timing. Not location.

Ok you were talking about mechanics and not where the ball actually went..lol.

I didn't mean to imply she struggles with that pitch, although there was a time when change-ups were her kryptonite like it can be with a lot of aggressive hitters. I think she was fooled a little bit vs a girl that threw pretty hard and looked either off balance, or like she was stretching for the ball. I've seen her hit plenty of balls hard opposite field, that one just looked a little different.
