Has anyone tried Athletes Go Live app? Its supposed to combine live streaming with a scorekeeping overlay, so you can see score, inning, how much time is left if you are falling along at home.
Im going to take the streaming plunge as I already use Game Changer for scorekeeping.
My rig is Lynkspyder, with iphone 8. Is Periscope or FB Live better or maybe a new contender?

I am interested in seeing real world use if this as well. (The demo I saw was very good) A lot of the major showcases are implementing it this year. It has become even more important with the dead period getting extended till 7/31 today.

I registered our Team for AGL & signed -up as a Fan/Parent as well for Monthly $19.95 fee, so I can do some testing. The registering part is very labor-some & can be confusing. This needs to addressed .
I streamed an old game that was on our you.tube page & scored it as well. Here are my findings..
The scoreboard overlay on the stream was very nice. I wish it gave you option to choose your team color to match on overlay. but overall looks nice & clean. Permently fixed in upper left-hand corner of stream so make sure your camera allows for that or some action to leftside might get blocked out.
The scoring portion was more cumbersome than GC, no drag & drop of baserunners & fielders, so currently no Spray charting as well. Currently it takes a few more clicks to add assist & put-outs, baserunning advances & stolen bases. The scorekeeping app was also very slow to process in spots, so a few times I fell a batter behind awaiting the app to catch-up. This will also show on the scoreboard overlay on the stream as not real-time as it catches-up as well.
With all that being said, the real jewel of this app is the super easy video editing & saving for each athlete. You can watch an archived game, save exact game moments to your athletes profile & send them directly to any Softball College Coach/School in the apps system.
IMO - If they can work-out the registering part up front & improve on the in game scorekeeping this can be a very useful tool in these crazy new times.
If anyone has any suggestions on video editing apps/software pls share!

I just dove in to AGL and you are right, first impressions are it is quite cumbersome at the moment. Can you search for other teams and see how they are doing (like GC)? I signed up as a team but it didnt even ask me for payment yet...

Yes you can. Unfortunately like many of the really valuable features of AGL it is a little cumbersome to access. You have to make sure you are logged in as a fan and hav a subscription you can then search for teams and watch archived games as well as look at the box scores, no written play by play yet.

There is no charge for the team to use it for streaming. The "fans" aka parents have to buy a pass to watch the livestream as well as access archived video of your team and allow your DD to make clips for sending to coaches or posting on social media.

Overall the app IMO does what many parents have been wanting for years, combine gamechanger and livestreaming into 1 app. It throws in potentially very useful recruiting profile and management features. As I mentioned earlier that is all great but a lot of those features are a little clunky and hard to access right now. I assume it will continue to be refined over time.

That's because you don't pay for a team account. It's free to sign-up and free to stream games for others to watch. Athletes pay either a monthly or annual fee if they want to use the services, which do indeed seem pretty powerful. Also, families can pay to watch games.

I keep waiting for a thread on this. The scoring functionality of the app is terrible. And it's not a matter of getting used to it. It's a real problem. I assume that the company's plan is to get bought out by gamechanger. That needs to happen . . . fast!

I need a support group! I've been at it a couple weeks. The batters will come up in the app out of order, some batters come up more frequently than every 9 turns, it lacks the ability to score common plays and scenarios. Runners "score" even after they have been been designated "out." Lots of issues.

The streaming is easy and very clean, and they are putting out multiple updates per week to fix issues.

We used AGL for the first time this weekend. The streaming feature is really nice, although we had to use the venues stream this tourney and their camera angles were challenging. We received our AGL camera and we are going to test it out tomorrow. I don't think it will be hard to get a better angle. You can also zoom in with their camera, but I don't know if everyone knows this yet.
The scoring app sucks. That is the only way to put it. For example one of our players pitched 2 innings and gave up zero runs. By the end of the game, the stats said she pitched 12 innings and gave up 12 runs. The app managed to make her the pitcher for both teams the entire game. The app is very hard to work with right now, but I will say they are working hard to make it better and there have been improvements from a couple of weeks ago. We had to go back and score with GC to get our stats corrected.
College coaches have requested team profiles, which our kids send out in all their emails, so that they can follow along better. We will also be using a bluetooth microphone to announce batters and plays to make it easier for the coaches, this was also requested from coaches.
The best part of AGL is that you can take video clips out and send them directly to coaches.

Do you recall if the venue was using the AGL camera? Looking at their demo videos it looks like there is an option to use a GoPro.

Two things I'm very curious about:
1. How well AGL plays with GoPro
2. If we use the AGL camera, can we get a wide enough angle and I'd also like see video quality from their camera.

I played around with the scoring app and it was very buggy/cumbersome. I chalk that up to 50% being a brand new app and just about everything new fits into that category (buggy/cumbersome). The other 50% being a new app that I have to learn to navigate through.
