I was going to suggest feminine hygiene products but didn't want to cause a commotion. But you WILL need them at some point for someone (and almost always on a "white pants" day). And the parks never seem to have those machines in the bathrooms.

This is one of many good reasons to have a woman on the coaching staff. Not a lot of teenage girls are going to feel comfortable asking a male coach for a tampon.

When I coached I also brought a cleat cleaner for the muddier field days - or in a pinch, popsicle sticks or wooden tongue depressors. The latter also work for splinting broken fingers.

In addition to the measure tape, bring a rule book or a page that shows where / how to measure...90% of the time the pitchers plate (or base) is the correct distance away from the wrong starting place.

Most people don’t know where the bases are measured to either. They aren’t all measured to the same place either which makes it confusing. I won’t give away the answer in case DFP’ers don’t know either.

I think most people would be surprised to learn the space between the bases is not actually 60 feet.

We always brought along an extra uniform top - without a name,

Sometimes the player shows up in the wrong jersey.

Seriously, this does happen,

Shoelaces! I always keep a few extra shoelaces in my bucket. Mostly from cleats that have worn out before the laces. Dont want a broken lace mid tourney

At some point, Coaches should just say "Feminine products are in the ___ pocket of so-and-so's bag. Take one if you're ever in dire need." Or leave them with the Team Mom.
