How many camps are there? Somebody give me an overview, please. Does TM = HL? I have been here for a while now but I still get confused. So Coach Q, Bobby, pattar, Fp26, Work, Mud, Shawn, jurley, TDS, Bigsky, Clem, james, Butter and all the other guys with 5 or more softballs next to their name, I ask you to identify your camp. And what is the biggest difference between your camp and the camp that you most oppose?

I don't know what camp I am in. I don't believe the rear leg is the driver. Well, I guess it can be but not for me. I believe around the spine not hip socket. Again hip socket can work just not for me. Obliques/core are very involved in the swing. Both legs work. Balance is important for consistency. What camp am I supposed to be in. I like Justin Stone but he yells at me. LOL. I think JD martinez has a great swing. I love Donaldson's tempo/rhythm.

My favorite camp is what may help each individual hitter. Some may even have a physical impairment like this fine gent.

EDIT: I actually listen to all hoping to find something that may help one. The camp I enjoy the most is the mental part of the game.

I’ll let you know after I do more swing research. Although I leaning toward Joey Myers of hittingperformancelab. I’m thinking you need to use the torso well after my recent experiment.

I don't consider myself to be in any camp. I am a member at DFP, BBD, and BBF and have learned a great deal from each. I own Iso-Hitting by Dr. Yeager and find that his stuff isn't as far off as some other people claim it to be. I appreciated Jerry Brewer's website when he was still active. To a lesser extent I have found some useful information from Baseball Rebellion, Driveline Baseball, Matt Antonelli, Tewks Hitting, and several other sources. I was even a member of Chris O'Leary's website for a very brief period of time (God help me...).

I believe that if a hitter shifts his/her weight too far forward too early, he/she won't have much of a chance. I believe the barrel needs to get behind the ball and follow a slightly upward path, albeit a brief period prior to contact. I refer to these things as rear-legged and TTB because that is what most of the people I have talked with refer to them as. Not some over-baked version that some people try to sell.

I own Ted Williams' book based on the recommendation of another member, and I read it often. I enjoy long walks on the beach, and "having a catch" with my daughter.

I’m in the Kasey Cooper high front leg kick camp that promotes timing & torque for smaller, or younger girls. Right pattar? ;) Haven’t got to throw this one out in a while!
