For areas that are playing games, what are you seeing rules wise, with regards to social distancing, disinfecting, umps behind the pitcher etc. while the game is being played?

Well, as an umpire, I've heard we have to stand 6 feet behind catcher. Also, no handling of scorecards, so we take a photo of coaches card, then they handle the substitutions and things, which I'm happy to let them do. I also heard on coaches conference, only coach and pitcher and one other player, no infield gathering at mound, only 3 players in dugout, rest behind fence spread out, no running on field after homeruns......A few more things I can't remember now

Here are a couple of pics. One from southern MO area and another from OK area. No social distancing for fans in MO and ump right behind catcher in OK. 4C3FAC25-2C55-4E99-B973-6F969E3DF6B9.jpegAE907071-01B0-47A5-8820-E3C3C7D388B4.jpeg

I figure it is either:

You can't make me stay inside the lines, I have rights!!!!
OR
Lines actually contain the virus. Without lines it is more likely to float away.

BU is out of position (and uniform) ... and what is up with a third umpire leaning on the fence? It looks like this was unsanctioned?

And do they not drag fields in MO and OK? 😲😀
For the most part in OK, from what I have seen at the tournaments we have been at, they drag and line the fields once before the day starts and that is it..By the time the last games are played I close my eyes when a ball is hit to my kid at SS..

Really? Wow... It would take 10min tops to drag the field in between games and a quick rechalk of the just batters boxes too. Here is So Cal we just do a quick hand drag or with cart and a quick touch up of the boxes while the teams are exiting and new teams entering dugouts.
That would be rough to play on if its the 5th or 6th game in a day. Like that scene in the Bad News Bears in Breaking Training when they play the team in New Mexico and can't field anything w all the bad hops. 😲
