They've opened their Space Coast All-American thing to everyone, no tryouts required. So thy must think Florida will be open in late July, but also realize they can't hold tryouts before then. Everyone who comes makes a team, it says.

ha ha ha....... trying to make some extra money to replace all the money they lost this year from cancelling due to Covid. Hilarious.

Well, that is the nature of business. I can assure you that any business owner who's livelihood is dependent upon a business impacted by any kind of business loss will try to do what they can to recover lost funds. Fraudulently taking advantage is not something I am talking about here. But we need small businesses to get back to selling their goods and services as soon as possible. One thing that is becoming more evident to the general public through all of this is that our economic system is a very complicated but delicate house of cards.

I'm a business owner myself so you're preaching to the choir. But calling something an All American game while giving a spot to anyone that shows up is disingenuous at a minimum and bordering on misrepresentation. They're taking advantage of the name in an effort to garner entries at $350 PER PLAYER. Pretty crappy IMO but it's just one man's opinion.

Good to see that they have enough confidence that we will be playing by then to schedule this event. I suspect that opening it up to all means fewer will travel for it, which is probably a good thing. Doesn't help USSSA's struggle for credibility, but probably the best they could do given the circumstances.

Given the leadership in Florida, it would not surprise me one bit if they tried it.

Not a WWE fan (watched it as a kid), but there is something that needs to be noted when people bring that up ... WWE is NOT going to be packing arenas full of people. Their "exemption" (and I won't get into the political or financial points) allows them to continue to tape TV shows (without an audience) in their Florida complex so they don't violate their TV contracts.

@CloudofDust -- can my pitcher wear an optic yellow one? Or will these have to be approved, licensed, and dual-stamped USSSA facemasks? ;)
