In market for a new pitching glove. DD is 15. Still working in her new Mizuno Pro Select 12.75 for outfield. An injury slowed the process. Anyway nokona has caught her attention. I've seen mixed opinions on here in general. I think for this glove though she would prefer something closer to "game ready" even if that means it isn't going to last many years. Other than the walnut series, which isn't that appealing, we can't really find any to try. Spent some time on their website and they have a lot of options. The alpha or X2 are marketed as light weight and game ready and also there's a made in texas glove. Leaning towards a 12" closed web, that made in Texas has a modified trap. Do nokona's tend to run small or large in general. I think a 12.25" would be a good size, but not much offered. Most gloves come either with or without velcro. I'm assuming the velcro models are "female specific" geared towards fastpitch, while the non-velcro are baseball gloves (ie likely bigger handstalls)? Any info appreciated.

If it has to be a Nokona the Sknz series is probably the way to go. It’s lightweight and comes I believe 80% broken in.
It’s pricey at $350-400. On the Nokona website you’ll find it under baseball gloves.
Originally it was a navy shell with tan palm which was really sharp looking. Latest models changed colors I think maybe blonde & black or brown.
Anyway I was in the market for a new glove for DD’s a few weeks back and the Sknz’s made my short list.
I couldn’t find the right size for a price I was willing to spend. We wound-up going with a couple of custom Vinci’s.
If I had to do it again probably go with a Rawlings HOH or Player preferred.
The issue was DD’s wanted a custom and Vinci’s were a better deal than Rawlings gloves especially with customization.

Nice looking glove. It is actually on the stiffer side according to their scale.

Very nice looking glove. Can also get it with Velcro or without. Not sure what your looking at but both the scale and description state light weight, durable, and easy break-in.
Definitely a consideration with the Rawlings, & Wilson A2K.
If the prices were all the same I would have gone with the Sknz glove most likely. A little more exclusive than the other gloves you see everywhere. I just couldn’t justify the cost.
I did see a brand new Sknz 12” on Ebay a few weeks back starting bid was $100. Just too small. 12.5 is the smallest I will consider.
Good luck in your search. There are a bunch of really nice gloves out there.

It's definitely a cool looking glove. But it just seems, well, wrong? I wonder if that's why they don't even bother giving a description of the glove or how it's made. If you want to spend $1200 on a glove, you're probably not going to care!
