I'm not an expert in dissecting swings, but what I really see here is a lack of intent. She just doesn't look like she's trying to hit it hard. Tell her to make a mean face when she swings. That works at 8U.

That is her not wanting to hear me keep talking to her during bp

Well at first glance kudos to you for knowing exactly what at least one of the issues is. You are correct she has very little load, almost just slides back and then swings mostly with her hands. One other thing I noticed is her upper body is very still as well. She isn't getting any stretch or separation.

The biggest thing we need to get her doing is using her lower body as the engine that drives the swing. The video above will help a little in getting her to understand how the lower body needs to work. One thing he does not talk about in the video is what is going on with the upper body but look at every time he is showing what the legs are doing coming forward his hands are reaching back creating that stretch and separation.

Finally not sure if she is like this in game but her swing seems very passive, it might just be after a cage session hitting a bunch of ball getting tired but we always want to be attacking a swing should never be a passive thing it should be very active, violent even we want to crush that ball not just hit it.

Here is her in game swing. More intensity just still no load and all upper body. Of course its from behind. I just feel that she has untapped potential as far as power goes.

Can you get a couple more seconds of that swing? She's already going to the ball when that clip starts, no way to tell what the load situation is.

You can still see it is very "handsy" I would look at some of those drills where she has to step into launch position, really focus on load, stride and getting separation, notice in the instructional video the position he ends up in and the positions I posted, getting into this position properly is key.

She needs to be more dynamic. She looks very strong and quick. If she figures it out look out. Have her throw a frisbee left handed. Throw it as far as she can. Hopefully she will naturally load her torso. Then have her throw old bats. See what happens.
