The AS website has some System7s for $60! At those prices I decided to order a pitcher's glove and a 1st base glove for my 12 y/o. They arrived today and they seem like really nice gloves. Now I'm thinking of getting one for myself.

Wow. Every Vela -series glove or mitt I've seen has been excellent.

Holy moly!!... https://www.justballgloves.com/prod...ba2aZsAZ2qArJ5MnwGPgGbSYQ6PVgzo8aApwGEALw_wcB

this model is the "ok" one in the bunch. The 11.5" is way too small and the 12.5" is way too large. This glove as a 12", even with the 3 finger design, isn't as deep of a pocket as you would think. And the leather is still too soft in spots. I have blown one of them apart all the way yet, but I'm guessing the huge rubbery palm pad along with all of the adhesive inside is what makes these stiff in the middle but weak in other spots.

Dd's isn't the Vela and it is super stiff, going to take awhile to get it game ready. Been working on it at nights and played catch a couple more times and she can almost close it half way :ROFLMAO:

I always thought the sizing on the Vela FP gloves were weird from the start! Aside from the 12.5" double post / double bar web outfield glove (which I would assume is a pretty useful model), I would have designed things differently.

I think these would have been more useful?

*A shallow infield model with an I-web for SS and 2B that would have been a full 11.75". This should be the smallest model instead of that 11.5" glove!

*A true 3B glove, a 12" with a deeper H-web, and to give the option of a deeper glove to the other positions as well as the pitcher.

*A closed 12" pitchers glove (which they do already have).

*And a 12.25" utility glove to give the parents / player an option if they just wanted one glove for infield and outfield.

And as jmdub said, the Vela's are soft, pretty sure my CMW3000 was the only Vela with Maruhashi leather. The Vela FP gloves are not even close to being in the same ballpark as the System Seven baseball gloves, the price point and the leather difference reflects this! Having said that, I think anyone who's getting a Vela for $60/$70 is getting a great glove for the money!

Anyone have experience with the 12” Romero Wilson A2000 model? I have an opportunity to get one for about $100. My daughter is only 9 (about to turn 10), but average size for her age.

Not exactly the same, but my DD has the 11.75 infield A2000 and loves it. For $100 I'd jump on it.
