We’ve always flown with the Boombah rolling bag. All equipment in there except glove and uniforms. Only had an issue once last school ball season at WDW. Bag showed up early the next morning instead of the night dd got there. That was a little nerve-wracking.
Similar to above but dd couldn’t get her bat in suitcase.
I had an older Easton catchers bag so she put her backpack style bat bag in it and there was space left over for additional equipment. We checked that. She put her fielding glove and one set of uniforms in her carry-on.
Since my DD is a catcher, she's always had a big enough bag for her gear, and we've had no issues on plane trips. As others have mentioned, jerseys and gloves ALWAYS go in the carry-on bag.
Bats always have to be checked and in 8 years of traveling to Camps between both DD1 and DD2 have never had an issue with carrying on softball cleats (metal). We mostly fly Southwest and have been to most parts of the country and your YMMV. As others have mentioned carry on gloves and uniforms.
This looks like a good bag for flying... TSA Lockable means it was intended to be checked.

My daughter is also a catcher, so her big-rear Mizuno catcher's bag does the trick - has wheels, so its easy to roll through the airport. OP - we've recently changed teams and have a slightly used but very good Mizuno bag - could make you a deal. It does have a Firecrackers logo on it, though.
Bonus points if your daughter is number 7 as that's stitched on there as well.
