In young ages the demarini bustos was cheaper but hit better than any bat when we were that age. They come in -13 amazon has them for $66 5 years ago they were hot I think because of thin wall and not many 8 u busting bats.

IMHO For a 7 yr old even playing up in 10U you dont need a $200 bat specially given she will likely outgrow it in a year.. a sub-100 bat will give you more options and perform just as well... I just dont see the ball compression and bat speed being what they need to be for a mid-range composite bat to make a difference... lousville has the Proven for $100 bucks, Demarini has uprising for $80, Axe for $80, Easton Crytal and Sapphire for about the same price... Marucci for $100... Easton has 4 different ones a that price point... another big advantage of a cheaper bat is most likely aluminum so you dont need to worry as much about the pitching machine killing your bat (well it may but it wont hurt as much) nor practicing or playing in sub 60 degree weather and cracking the bat... if you must get the mid-range performance bat I would go with the demarini as they have a wider sweet spot than the Xeno or LXT...

Not the xeno as its heavy and end loaded, the others are fine whichever color you think she will like best.

I second the vote for a Bustos if you aren't ready to spend that much $ for a bat, and I don't blame you if you're not. I think a good used Bustos will out perform any of the other aluminum bats mentioned plus it has the composite handle which helps with hand sting. We have one for machine dimple balls and cold weather. They hit very well for an aluminum bat. The one dd uses I got on ebay for $35 I believe.
