Don't be afraid of getting forward and allowing the core (obliques) to pull the hands. Bottom line get leveraged into both legs before contracting the obliques to whip the barrel.

Never really noticed just how much back rocking Lauren does. I guess this can be attributed to her already positioning herself at where most players would end up because she has no stride. So because she is already at the ending point of a normal stride she has to get back to the beginning point. She does stay stacked. Teaching players not to do this however should be what we are after...... right? haha

She does it because she is no stride. While I agree you can hit no stride effectively, it's a more difficult move to perform to get the body in sequence etc. than a stride approach. She uses a "rock" into coil of the rear hip. It's not just a all back all forward move that she is doing.

She stabilizes the rear hip in her rock back, most youth hitters don't do that in their rock back.

Especially no stride. Most of the MLB no striders pretty much do the same. Some more exaggerated than others. Here is Paul doing it.

Check out where his hands are at the lag position compared to the girl.
She definitely tries to create more separation than Paul. While I think separation is important, ithink some emphasize it to much instead of setting the back hip properly.

Live swing. Even though she misses the ball here, one of the better swings of the day (in her defense this particular lane it’s really tough to get timing - dark corner, no light, just audio cue from the whir or the machine).

Still a lot of the same things happening folks mentioned above, just a better angle to see it.

Cosmetically, beautiful. But the energy transfer up the chain is null. Essentially she is dragging the barrel to contact. Or she is pulling the backside(leg, hands) to contact. Instead of it being pulled. Thats what stood out to me. If you have any recent tee swings just to see her ‘thought’ process.

But based off this swing, I would say she needs to ‘anchor’ her swing a bit better so the middle can pull the backside.
