Yes that is what I posted, he doesn't know what a good swing plane is or how to create one. Like in the video he thinks you lower the hands and flatten the barrel behind the body. Same thing I posted. However what he is saying in general about the led arm being away from the body is correct. In the book he is showing the "colinear" position, the barrel being an extension of the led arm at contact. Eric and I had a conversation about the barrel/lead arm alignment at contact.

In the book he is correct the spine angle is creating the swing plane, although he mixes in lowering the hands and flattening the barrel behind the body to create the barrel path.
Looking at swings I see a lot of people make generalizations about how and where your hands and arms are when hitting a pitch, without regard to pitch location. The positioning is simply not the same for a high inside fastball versus a low and away curve ball. Yes sound mechanics are always the same but your positioning at contact is different it just has to be.

What he demonstrated in the video is what I have been trying to break the girls on my travel ball team for over a year now. Sure you might pound one low in the zone every now and then. But as soon as you get one belt high to letters you have NO CHANCE of hitting that pitch. A good pitcher \ coach will pick that swing up and you'll see nothing but high heat and you won't be able to touch it.

The Blast sensor creates a swing plane from contact and backwards. They say there isn't a perfect swing plane, just the path for each swing and how long the barrel is on plane for that given contact position.

RUN AWAY from anyone who tells you they are the only true expert and they alone have the answers.

Doesn't TM claim he has all the answers?

I have figured out the swing, it's been 22 years of hard work, but I AM THE ONE.

Nice pics showing your point very clearly. I think he was talking about the lead arm being fully extended, although you might be correct in that he is talking about keeping the lead arm close to the body on all swings.

Yes, he does.........doesn't mean they're right.

Not trying to defend TM, but does he really claim the he ALONE has the answers. I want a instructor to believe in what they do, it is when the are completely closed to seeing things from other perspectives or to want to continue to learn themselves that scares me. I didn't quite get that vibe from TM. He seems like he is still in the process of learning. Don't get me wrong TM is very convinced about his theories but it doesn't seem like this guy.
