Hello all

Is there a solution to livestreaming a game and have the ability to do a video rewind while in the dugout?

I record using the GoPro Hero 5, it is great for the purpose. That will continue as a standalone camera.

Livestreaming is something we also want to do. Last spring I tried yourgamecam.com with the Yi4 Camera, it was great with a steady internet signal. We were able to rewind the video in the dugout and still livestream. However, once there was a hiccup in internat service we had to reset the entire camera. We used a hotspot as well as existing wifi. Cumbersome to reset.

I started this past week w FB Live, iphone, fisheye adapter, and existing data plan. It was remarkably clear and easy to use. However, can not rewind while livestreaming.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Just curious. Are you rewindinding to show a player their AB? What age level is this. I like it but some might think its a little over the top. It would be cool to do it during batting practice, first.

When we are able to live rewind, it was great to give the Players immediate feedback. Rather than waiting. Also helped if we missed any plays/calls.

I'm pretty sure I was able to live stream to DD's youtube channel and it let viewers rewind during the live stream, but Facebook and Twitter/Periscope did not allow you to rewind until the live stream was over. We use a Mevo Plus.

The problem with YouTube is that as of last year, you have to have at least 1000 followers to live stream to a mobile device (cell phone). But this is not the case for devices like the Mevo.

correct me if I'm wrong but i believe you can use a second party watching the live stream to rewind and review but not on the primary device that is filming the live stream. instant replay kind of takes away from live streaming. Our team uses facebook live

Thanks, ive been reading a lot about the Mevo Plus. did you use a hotspot to connect camera?

The Mevo Plus can broadcast via WiFi or LTE. I've found more than once that I get more bandwidth (resulting in a more stable signal) broadcasting via LTE, rather than a mobile WiFi hotspot.

Great. LTE, is there a monthly charge??. i would prefer that for the stable signal.

It will be based on whatever your LTE data plan is. The phone I use to host the Mevo has unlimited data, so I don't get hit with extra charges. Results are also going to vary a lot from location to location. If you can connect to a stable WiFi network, it will be better than LTE. Sometimes, connection is lousy not matter what you do.
