Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to picture this in my head. Wouldn't swing around the body produce a casting, around the ball swing? We don't to swing around the ball but to and through the ball, right?

Around the body isn't the best way to say it. I was just trying to give an alternative view to letting the hands/barrel collapse into the body. With bat drag there is an attempt to swing "through" the body, often with the hands collapsing into the body.

So the hands as the swing is "through" the body, the hands cant go any where until the shoulders etc. clear and make room? The hands should be able to get ahead of the "Corner" or turn?

My DD too had issues with bat drag at an early age, like most kids do. What really helped her "feel" was hitting against a tire. The elbow has to slot and the hands take over to direct the bat. Hitting the tire with bat drag is a very different feeling vs slotting the elbow and letting the hands take over. Hard to believe this was almost 7 years ago, but this is my DD hitting the tire: Now no way am I saying that's a perfect swing... she was 9 then, but it's one of the things we used to help her break bat drag.

She hasn't done that in a long time. Below is a video form a Instructor I like to watch. That's pretty interesting concerning bat drag.

I also wonder if trying to hit oppo off of front toss and tee would help in this area as well.
Right or wrong, my DD hits oppo very well. For her, she just doesn't whip her hands as much. She can go oppo or pull at will. If a player is on base, she will always go oppo. I don't know if this is how an instructor would tell a student how to properly go oppo, it's just what works for her and works pretty well.
