I remember the recruiting days and I don't envy you.
Hopefully, your travel coach knows what she/he is doing and is vested in helping. Looking back, I believe ours was more interested in the $$ than the kids. DD went to a lot of camps and had a lot of "I'm very impressed with you. Send me your schedule". Most never showed at any games. One set up an official visit with offer to be made, then cancelled 2 days prior. It was a real roller coaster of emotions.
When we went to her eventual school's camp I watched from afar and it seemed to me the coach was not excessively impressed. DW still likes to chide me about my phone call I made that day venting to her about how "all these college coaches are thieves, A-holes, SOBs...........all they want is our $$ for their camp, etc, etc". Luckily, the rant was from inside my car, windows up. Because I was interrupted by my DD knocking on the window and saying "coach says he needs to talk to you and me after the camp".
Awesome offer was made and she's there loving school, coaches, and softball.
My advice: Cast a wide net. Stay strong. Try not to get discouraged. And, most importantly, rant where no one can hear you.
