Hi - wondered if others would be willing to share what they're hearing from their daughters and how the experience is going so far. Mine has bonded well with her team and especially with a smaller sub-group of 4 incoming freshmen. She's at a mid D1. The work is hard (up early for classes, finishes around 1pm and then to lifting or conditioning and then team practice which finishes early evening. Mandatory study hall later in the evening. She's pretty tired most of the time, but she's always been a hard worker and worked out daily over the summer so luckily it has not been a terribly difficult adjustment. The team had their first set of scrimmages last weekend, and they will have 3 more weekends playing double headers against other local D1 schools. It was great to go to the games and she got to play the entire first game and got her first hit after a couple of 'shake off the nerves' at-bats . We are excited and hope that it will continue!
The school work is going OK but she's already thinking of changing her major. And, just reported she has a sore throat and a cold. I remember when my son started his freshman year he was sick multiple times over the course of fall semester. I'm hoping hers goes better!
How's everyone else's DDs doing?
