As she started the recruiting process in January of her junior year, DD made a video that she could send to college coaches. There were only 5 schools she was looking at- (3) in R.I., (1) in Maine and one in VT. When she talked to the coaches they all asked her to send video, which she did.
This week I saw on DFP where someone had noted that you could check to see what states the people were in that were viewing your video. I had forgotten about that, so when I got a chance I tried it.
The funny thing was that none of her views came from the states where she was looking at colleges! I know that every email update she sent had both a link to her online profile as well as her video. I just found it interesting. In fact, one of the coaches replied within 12 hrs after she sent the link and the coach sounded like she liked what she was seeing. So who knows....
