No problem. Recruiting is a crazy process and it's not same for everyone. In my daughter's case, her first offer was 100% and she is a sophomore, 3 other girls were offered that day and they were offered 70% each. This was my first experience with a college offer. Travel ball coach told us that my daughter may get an offer that day, we were playing in that college.

Coach called us in her office and told my daughter that "this is going to be easy, I really like you and want you here so I am going to give you 100%. I don't even need to see your ACT score."
You can stack your scholarships in this school.

Is stacking scholarships adding them together? Are there actually schools that won’t allow stacking?? Is this a state thing or is it a school based decision?

Yes, they add academic and athletic scholarships. That's why the coach want the kids with good ACT score, so she don't have to use her money.

So how do I calculate the whole 4 yrs worth of scholarship if it's only on a yearly basis?
DD got offered 70% and we're thrilled. She needs to keep up the good work or it could be less the following year, right?

Yes that's the case, on the other hand if she does really good, she may get more money. Madi Moore of Alabama took medical disqualification to end her softball career but she will get to keep her scholarship for Junior and Senior year. It's all up to the coach.

DD just verballed to a D2 in NY. $30K of $35K (which is total cost of everything) she is a 2019 Catcher.

DD signed for a percentage of tuition, books, room and board. This was the standard method at the time and renewable year to year. She also had academic money that’s awarded annually if she maintains at least a 3.0 GPA. After signing, the P5 conferences voted to pass the “Full Cost of Attendance”. Her school then switched from percentages to fixed amounts and guaranteed it four years. Coaches can increase scholarships annually, but only the original amount from the NLI is guaranteed. The guarantee is nice, but the fixed amount doesn’t go up as costs increase so the percentage goes down every year. I know several schools are offering four year scholarships now, but don’t know if they’re fixed or percentages.

I agreed with everyone saying NAIA right up to the point you said you were in Alabama. Is that DI that you got 50% offer from Alabama or Auburn?? That would change some things for me. Just how I rate the cities

Hard to decide with the limited amount of information given, but graduating debt free a good NAIA school may be hard to pass up!
