. What kind of school is NESCACS?
New England Small College Athletic Conference
They are also called "little Ivies", they are all DIII
Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Connecticut College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan, Williams.

(I always thought Amherst was an Ivy, but I guess not)

Excellent schools, smart kids, tough to get into. The girl who finished 2nd in DD#1's class, had lots of AP classes and extra curriculars, had been planning to go to Bowdoin since 8th grade, planned her academic choices and extra curricular s around this - couldn't get in.

That's why we felt if DD #2 had any kind if advantage in getting in to one if those schools, she should go for it!

The two schools I've been talking about: one is a DII school, the other is a DIII NESCAC school. I think the fact that they are in two different divisions is causing confusion.
