OK, so DD is a Junior and starting to narrow down her options. She's invited to visit school A, a top choice, and meet with the coach. School B is a short trip away, and also one of her top 3. We were planning on visiting school B after school A, and watching a game vs. school C.
Query: Do we tell any of the coaches we are visiting the other schools/coaches? Does that make you more desirable, or do all the coaches want to think that "you're the only one I love?"
This recruiting stuff is really stressful!

My two cents...If they ask what other schools you are interested in or are interested in her, tell them. If they don't ask, don't go out of your way to bring it up.

Not sure there is a "one size fits all" response to this one. College coaches may react differently to competition from other schools. Their reaction may also depend on how high a priority your DD is to the school. I would advise against scheduling more than one visit on the same day. A college visit could last 2 hours or 12 and you really do not want to cut the first visit short if it is going well.

Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in, but if I remember correctly, only the home coach will be permitted to talk with a recruit. The away coach may be able to say "hi", but that is about it. My DD is in a similar situation. Two of the schools she is considering are playing against each other, and it happens to be on a weekend that her high school team has off.

Unless you are already in a situation where you have competing offers, no you do not tell them. There is nothing to be gained and much to be lost.

Rise,
I am nowhere near this phase(timeline, maybe even talent & desire) but could you elaborate on potential downside? I think your opinion is highly valued here and may help others in similiar circumstances (even if not softball related).
