My DD was invited to come to a camp at a school. There have been a few phone conversations and Coach wants my DD school and travel schedule. All she has ever seen was my DD do drills and she had a very good time running from home to first. She later contacted her travel coach and said she wants to she my DD at their camp to get her in front of the Head coach. My DD is only a freshman and haven't played her first High School game. This will be her first year playing on a Elite level travel team.Just want some opinions on what level of interest this is without seeing any game situations. The school is in the ACC

Your DD was invited to a camp by who? The AC (Assistant Coach)?

If she has been invited to the camp by the AC,
and the AC wants to get your DD in front of the HC,
and the AC has contacted your travel coach,
...then I'd say the level in interest is pretty high.

She was invited by assistant coach and have had conversations with assistant coach but the coach has never seen her play in a game.

At the collegiate level, many HC's trust their AC's to look for talent. In your case, the AC has invited your DD to a camp in order to get her in front of the HC so that the HC can evaluate her skills and to see if they want to keep her on their "radar." This is a very good thing and their level interest is piqued IMO. Whether this proves out over the upcoming years is entirely another thing however.

Congratulations on the camp invite! When my DD was attending camps we tried to stay level headed and not get too high or too low when attending. College coaching staffs operate differently, some only personally invite a handful of kids, while other may "invite" 50+. College camps are money raising ventures for the coaching staff, so take everything with a grain of salt.

While you are at the camp pay attention to how the players are grouped and where the head coach is spending most of their time. Being in the same group with players who are already committed to the school is usually a sign they are very interested. Tell your DD to relax and enjoy the process.

Thanks for the information and I will definitely pay attention to the things you pointed out.

DD, a 2020, was invited to and attended 2 camps at a small D1. At the 2nd camp she was asked to return for an unofficial. Is there a timeline for that visit? The invite was extended right before NCAA season started and right before HS season started. Doesn't seem there's any good time to squeeze in a quality visit.

Please let me know how it turns out for your DD and Congrats

Sounds promising but I am always concerned about dollars. If they are invited her to clinic for free or a minimal cost I would say interest is high.
