while we eagerly awaited a certain girl's debut as a Gamecock another DFP DD did some damage for Texas Tech after being underused by the Ducks (IMO). Congrats Slingnit ! must be fun to see her get much more circle time and use it so well.

I appreciate the kind words!! Would have loved to see her still in green and yellow but no hard feelings, have nothing but respect for the entire staff and love those guys and gals!

Yes, already 600% more time than all of last year.lol As proud as I was of Chey I was just of proud of the rest of the team. Excellent defense and solid hitting. 4 E's for the weekend and 6 long balls. Jury is still out for us but so far looks promising.

UW final was not a fair representation of the game. Down 6-1 to after 3, scored 2 in the 4th and 5th. Then only down one we had 2 on and a ball caught at the top of the fence in straightaway center toppled with a few base running errors cost us 4-5 runs over the course of the game. Then they had 2-4 run innings. My kid gave up a couple of long balls to end the game. I feel we played them as well as anyone over the weekend(not that anyone played them well).

Down 6-0 to Minnesota after 3. Chy threw 4 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 run while offense made a comeback. Had a chance in the bottom of the 7th. 7-4 and we had 2 on and 1 out, just couldn't get them in. Also threw a complete game against W LBC and got a W over Utah Valley.

I was impressed by the no quit spirit the girls have! We lost 2 pitchers over Christmas break which killed a very solid rotation. Have a solid noncon schedule, 14 games against 8 top 25 teams.

I wanted to bump this. PLEASE, if you have a DFP player playing in college, please let us know. I really enjoy bookmarking them and following them. I know others do as well.

WOW! Iowa State and Texas Tech play 3 games against each other this April. Will DFP pitchers face each other in a game? Can the universe survive?

I also see Iowa State will host Drake. A girl from Madison, Nicole Newman, pitches for Drake. I've never seen her play, but a lot of the girls I knew around that age played against her in high school. She has an absolute murderous rise ball. One time DD 3 was practicing with DD 1's former TB team, and the coach spent a practice teaching the girls the secrets of hitting a riseball. A few days later, some of those girls beat Nichole Newman's team in a HS Varsity game, and the girls on that TB team were the big stars of the game.
