On Wednesday, July 12 the inaugural Academic Achievement Softball Games (presented by Classic Softball) will be held at Heritage Park in Wheeling, IL. All Class of 2018, 2019, and 2020 players who compete at the varsity level with their high school team this spring are eligible to register for this showcase.

Coaches from Northwestern, Harvard, Duke, UIC, Carleton, Illinois Wesleyan, Lake Forest, Grinnell, and Wash U will be working this event. Additional coaches will be added in the coming weeks.

Academic Requirements: 3.5 GPA / 26 ACT or 1260 SAT (standardized test results are not a prerequisite for registration).

The Classic Difference…

The day begins with a one-hour instructional camp that includes on-field instruction from the college coaches from twelve of the most prestigious academic institutions in the entire country. Following the conclusion of the instructional camp, all players will participate in a comprehensive evaluation used to assess athleticism, hitting ability, and positional defensive skills. After a break for lunch, all players will participate in two games in order to showcase their skills in a competitive setting.

All teams will be managed by the same college coaches who work with the players during the instructional camp. Additional college coaches will be in attendance to evaluate players at the 2017 Academic Achievement Games. All data collected (contact information, GPA, ACT, SAT, velocity, pop-time, hitting analysis, and athletic assessment) during this event will be shared with all college coaches in attendance.

Players and parents may visit Classic Softball Showcase to register for this event. This event is limited to position-specific registrations. Please see the website for additional information.

Thank you.
