I am curious about how this deposit requirement is sold to the parents. I do communicate that Seniors are required to play after beign recruited to play college ball, in that it should be their way of giving back to the young ones who sacrificed for them in their quest. I think you nailed it about a "much larger societal problem" and that "Teams have cultures". Our team had a corrosive culture Janssen Sports Leadership Center I'm not sure that I fostered this culture, however the responsibility does rest with me.- VeteranCoach
