    Interesting Video on Front Hip

Thanks Everyone, For the help. FFS, that really makes sense about not letting your load roll over onto the outside of the back foot, keeping inside allows her to unload on demand. Great advice, easy to picture and understand. She hits great most of the time but her power does come and go...

    Interesting Video on Front Hip

Thanks FFS and SBF, Does that load stay on the inside of the back foot? And will stopping the drifting forward or finishing forward limit the amouunt of ground balls hit, in other words shouldn't staying behind the front side produce more hard line drives? Seems to me that when she goes forward...

    Interesting Video on Front Hip

One more question, My DD has been preloading before striding, so I assume that loading and coiling as you are striding will result in more power? And does that load and coil to the back foot stay on the inside of the backfoot or up against it versus up on top of it? In other words, should it be...

    Interesting Video on Front Hip

Thanks FFS, I have been working on getting her to use her backside more and don't spin down into the ground ( squishing the bug ) which she doesn't do, but we were looking for good use of the hips. I saw her from a distance yesterday in highschool practice and she was finishing up vertical on...

    Interesting Video on Front Hip

Hey SB, Where's Crystal or Howard going to be giving clinics next? Any schedules? Also for anyone, what happens if my daughter gets up on top of her front leg instead of behind or up against the front side at the end of her swing? Will that rob her of some power? Maybe that's what someone meant...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Thanks everyone for the valuable information. We played two games yesterday and DD hit weak grounders to the second baseman. Looked like the ball was hitting up near her hands, for sure not in the sweet spot of the bat. Earlier in the week we had batting practice and she beat the paint off the...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Wellpht, please explain the slotting of the rear elbow by ADuction to a simpleminded country boy. Do you mean she should be rotating her forearms to the right and then slot ?

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

So how do we practice getting the bat barrel in line with the front arm at the point of contact ? Thanks for the great pictures. My daughter probaly looks about like the little girl in the last picture.

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Chris, when my DD is where this girl is in frame 55, and that's the place that I'm asking about (frame 55), her bat is where this girls is in frame 53 or 54. That's in the swing to contact drill and hold. So she definitely is not releasing her hands enough.

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Thanks SBFamily, I know that the release should just happen, but I'm pretty sure now this has been her problem all this summer. I know that in golf I held my hands and didn't release them for years and all I could hit was a slice. Then I learned to release at contact and WOW! a nice draw going...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

So if she loosens up her muscles while in her preload, load, start of swing, etc. then the wrists should release on their own? All I know is that when I had her swing out to contact several times that her wrist were still locked and hinged back, making the bat head be way behind. I understand...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Just reread what Chris last posted and that seems to be the problem, she is not releasing her wrist. Just like in golf, if I hit the ball with my hands (so to speak) and don't release them then the clubhead never gets back square at contact and the ball goes right. So do you guys think that...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Thanks Chris and 3DD'SDad, I just caught my daughter in the swing to contact drill with that right wrist still cocked back and not released, and as a result making the bat lag way behind and pointing down the first base line or worse. Just trying to find an answer to why she is hitting so many...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

I understand that the hands should be palm up and palm down at contact , just trying to make sure if she should make a conscious effort to release the angle in her right hand at contact or should it be happening on it's own. If a ball is coming down the middle of the plate belt high right on the...

What Is The Wrist Angle Position At Point Of Contact?

Hey Howard or SBFAMILY, When does a right handed hitter release the angle of the right hand? My DD is not releasing her right wrist angle on the swing to contact drill. In other words she is not throwing the hammer head at the nail or releasing her wrist. She is having trouble hitting back up...
