    I assume this is you kid? I recommend dropping it and not looking back. Or, if it really bothers her, work hard to be 1st in OBP, not 6th.

    Problem coaching little kids

    Agree 6-9 is a huge age difference. For 8 and 9 year olds kid pitch, no walks allowed. After 4 balls on a batter the coach comes in to pitch, player keeps strikes from the kid pitcher and any pitch a coach throws is a strike. Pitcher comes back for the next batter and trys again.

    If the coaching is best on the '08 team I would choose that one. After a year being on the bottom of a team is might increase your dd's confidence to be towards the top. Plus good coaching? Win, win to me.

    The travel teams don't enter into little league - its the individual players. A player would play on both a travel and a little league team. Like someone mentioned above - in LL players have to play in their hometowns so while most of the players might also play travel they play for different teams.

    Where do you live? Around here the fall season goes a week or 2 into October. If we wait until mid to late August to hold tryouts that leaves maybe a month and a half to practice and play outdoors before we are forced inside? We hold our tryouts early.
