Turn the machine up as fast as it will go. Just have her get in the box and pick her foot up and load. Turn it down to 65 and have her bunt. When you turn down to 60 it will seem very hitable.
If she struggles with 50, Turn it down to 40 and have her bunt. Turn it up to 50 and have her hit.
Hard to imagine getting a 15 million dollar signing bonus and then get 250 bucks a week. Not sure that type of pay structure is the best for development.
The Jugs machine I have used the speed change can vary depending on when you push the button. If you push button and immediately feed the machine the wheel will not have slowed down as much.

Many cannot hit off jugs machine set at 70 mph. In fact, I would say most.
Many hitters when facing higher velo try to swing harder/faster than their normal tee swing resulting in pulling down and under the ball. Also, hitters tense up when facing velo which actually makes them slower.
So...
22 players seem like a max number. That would include a couple of pitchers and a couple of catchers that know and accept they are there for throwing BP and catching bullpens and just want to be part of the team.
I would rate the newer well maintained artificial fields as true (no bad bounces)but slower than a good clay field. Some of the older turf fields are super fast with weird kangaroo hops.
