    I have taught a hop for years with good success. The timing is key. They need to hit the ground just as they know where to go for the ball. If they are too early or too late the advantage is lost. Have them practice it on every day rolled grounders and on batted infield or outfield practice...

    My daughter didn't report any vibration problems with the Marucci, she just didn't feel like it had the pop of her Ghosts or CF.

    We had to send them back before we really got to test them well, but I will just say my daughter has broken two ghosts in the last 15 months and both times we got new ghosts. The Marucci didn't enter the conversation.

    Returns take about a month, but I would expect they are behind with all of the returns right now. Everyone that I know who swings a ghost has broken at least one and most of them have broken a few. That said my daughter is convinced she hits the ball harder with her ghost, so we keep going...

    Our post-practice circle is just like it used to be, except we are spread apart. We still break out, just with the girls pointing their hands to the center. It lacks the energy it had when they were packed in close, but it still works.

    About the Drop

    I am sure that the actual difference in the amount of drop could be calculated assuming a 12-6 spin at various speeds and spin rates, but I have not observed that any "contortion" is needed to get the best drop. I have played around with asking girls what would happen if you tried to spin it...

    No more buckets

    This is why I just suck it up and squat. You can't reasonably get low enough on a 6-gallon bucket. I have at times of hurt back or sore knees flipped a bucket on its side and caught on that, but only in desperate situations.

    The football decision seems to be being driven more by the concerns over post-COVID myocarditis. This is what is scaring the presidents and chancellors. It isn't healthy 20 year olds getting COVID. It is health 20 year olds dying of myocarditis after getting COVID.
