    Rude Parents

We played Belhaven in Southern Illinois a few weeks ago. Yes, your pitcher, Carruth, was tough. We lost 3-1, definitely one of the best pitchers the team will see this year. Good luck with the rest of the season.

College Roster Sizes, sorry some of you don't get to go with us~

When I played DIII football we won the National Championship in 1994, and a booster paid for our rings my senior year. The other 3 years, we got conference championship rings/NCAA playoff rings and had to pay for them ourselves.

    Eye contacts

I am an optometrist by trade. Contact lenses are great for sports. For softball, the player will have a wider field of view and the best correction in place to optimize their vision during play. I always recommend the daily soft contact lenses to any of my teen patients as they are the safest...

    Individual Fundraising Ideas

My son mows our lawn to cover some of his travel team fees. Prior to him mowing, we were paying $900 a year for that service! He also turned that into his own business and has anywhere from 4-8 lawns a week to mow (some each week, some vacation-only mows). He makes great money and his own hours!

Vision problems - Lack of Convergence

Contact lenses are not a treatment for convergence insufficiency. They are a treatment for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and eye focusing issues. Vision Therapy is the only effective treatment for convergence insufficiency and it is super helpful in post-concussion vision...

Vision problems - Lack of Convergence

A clinical study called the Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial in 2008 proved that Office-Based Vision Therapy was the best treatment for convergence insufficiency vs. an Office-Based Placebo Therapy, Home-Based Vision Therapy, or Home-Based Therapy along with Computer-Based Therapy...

    Prescription Glasses

Ok, as an optometrist, I'd recommend 1) Contact lenses (Better field of vision, less fogging, less lens scratches, etc) 2) Sports Glasses (Rec Specs or Hilco's Leader Frames) or 3) Orthokeratology/Corneal Refractive Therapy (please ask your optometrist about this option). My DD needs no...
