Hating this HS season so far for multiple reasons.
Well, the last game has been played. DD 2 sat the entire game. She said none of the coaches said a word to her or DD1. Had a parent ask me why DD2 wasn’t playing and when I said I didn’t know, he said”oh, I was expecting you to say she was sick”. Told him what happened Tuesday and he said “Ahhh...- MoparFin

Well. Update on the season and situation. We have one last game tomorrow. Can wait. DD1 has been injured for a while and hasn’t played much. She did manage to get cleared for her senior game only. Hating this HS season so far for multiple reasons.
That sounds like a rough season. Few more games and it’s all over. Then on to some real softball. Travel finally starts. It’s amazing though. My DD has really be pitching great. Most games she throws are double digit strikeouts. But fly balls and HGBs that are normally outs for her travel...- MoparFin

Good point. I was thinking HS teacher since it’s HS team. Haven’t really seen non-HS teachers as a coach for HS before.- MoparFin

Hating this HS season so far for multiple reasons.
I would almost prefer a teacher. They would (hopefully) at least know how to treat young women with respect and dignity. The teachers that I have know as coaches also researched and wanted to learn how to improve as coaches.- MoparFin

Hating this HS season so far for multiple reasons.
Our HC loves to say that he is preparing the girls to play at the next level and that is his concern, not wins. In the 3 years we have been at this school, under him coaching and is as long as he has coached for the school, I have never seen a college coach at a game, only know of 1 girl that...- MoparFin

You’re all exactly right. If this situation was happening in a travel team, there would be no team. Here is what I think is the problem. There is a large number of girls that have only played for the school sponsored rec league and the middle school and now high school teams. They have not...- MoparFin

Hating this HS season so far for multiple reasons.
Today we reached what I think is the breaking point. Coach said that their game, which they lost 0-1 was disgusting and he was embarrassed. Team had 0 errors, DD pitched and struck out 11 in 6 innings (away game) and gave up 2 hits. We struggled hitting, had 11 SO but 4 hits. It was a pitching...- MoparFin

Hube111. That’s good that she’s recovered from surgery and playing. At least I guess you can use HS as a warm up for travel. Hating this HS season so far for multiple reasons.
First, DD1 (Senior) and DD2 (Freshman) are playing their last year together. So that alone really sucks. Both made V, which is good. Problem is, DD1, who is being recruited as a catcher for a D3 is playing OF. She’s a slow runner. Can’t track a fly ball very well. Never really played OF since...- MoparFin

Indoor hitting areas for small space.
The one I used before was like this, but Easton. I wish we had a garage, but not in this house. Basement is there, but it’s short, maybe 6’? And really dirty/dusty. House is from the 1700’s. I was considering a bownet, just wanted to see what else people have used.- MoparFin

Looking for ideas on set ups for indoor hitting areas. I have a large space in my living room I can use. Has windows,so we need to be careful of those. No basement. Open to any ideas.
