Thought about changing her to peel drop, but this just suits her. Love watching her do her thing. 8th Grade!

Like I said, not her best curveball. I have just never watched in slow motion before so was curious about the foot. Agreed on the leg drive. We're in speed and agility specifically to develop that and explosiveness. Thanks for feedback.

I am speaking of her foot leaving rubber. To me, that is momentum and she's still in contact with the ground....this couldn't be considered a replant correct with the drag following right behind?
So her curve didn't have the best movement on this one (mom whipped out camera too late). What I am curious about is that foot....to me it doesn't break contact and drags. Is this legal or not...
My daughter is on a new team this year and she really likes her teammates, coaches, and the other parents (we do too). She is 12u (turns 13 this March) eligible but playing with a 14u A/B. She is one of three very talented pitchers and they all motivate and push each other. One was once her...
Let's just acknowledge there are a million thoughts on this.
So, I just got thrown a "curveball" by one of "my girls" travel pitching coaches. He has her gripping the ball almost like a rise. Standard fastpitch grip, but tighter and then threw in this slight change. He has her curving her...
The ahhhhh is the absolute best part. It brought the joy back for both of us. I hated how serious everything had become even from a coaching perspective. This is a much better place to be coaching/parenting from and the results speak for themselves.
I teach all my pitchers from day one that they have a job. Their job is to produce outs in any form. Pop outs, ground balls, and yes, strikeouts. Every time you step on the rubber you go back to work. You do not think about the last pitch or the next pitch. You receive your pitching...
My daughter is throwing a beautiful screwball at 12. If she is hit by a right handed batter, the ball meekly grounds off tailing to the right as it rolls. Her fastball is thrown on a 12-6/11/5 at about 51 mph. Her screwball is absolutely a 9-3 at about 47 mph. It's typical for the other...
Ah 12-13 year olds. That wonderful age where they aren't little kids anymore, but they aren't as mature as high school players. I mom/coach 4 different pitchers and the maturity levels between all 4 are night and day. I am also with these same 4 for every single pitching lesson and boy have...
