We have our first TB Tournament ever as a team and as a family this Saturday (10u). I don't know what to expect, but I'm anxious and hoping the girls have a good showing.
There is no such thing as rush hour in Atlanta. Sorry it's always bad no matter how early you leave, unless you are talking about getting to work at about 5:30 to 6AM,
I drive 35 miles one way. That takes me 1 1/2 hour on a good day. I'd avoid any of the major highways at all cost. I'm more on...
Yeah I know you were but you said "a little". JK. I completely agree with you with however. You need more than one but you can't properly develop them if you are trying to pitch 6-7 girls. I know of the local teams you are referring to.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think there are more than 9 pitchers around who can pitch and pitch well. These "big name teams" at 10u do not have a lock down on the only pitching talent or talent in general.
Also there are a lot more 06 girls around you than you realize.
Oh and...
I asked a guy if he had a daughter on the team and he said "Yes I sure do". I then asked "Do y'all purposelessly not were a mask because not one girl is wearing one?" His reply was a short "That's what gloves are for!" in an arrogant cocky tone. I left it at that.
And, I think that this was the same tournament (Turner Lake) that I seen a team and not ONE girl was wearing one. It appeared to me that they made a conscious decision not to wear them because none were wearing them.
