Specifically for the umpires of the board. 3-1 count on the batter. Pitcher throws strike two. Catcher was confused and thought it was strike three so she threw the ball to first to begin "throwing it around the horn". Umpire called that action by the catcher a ball, giving the batter a walk. Sounds like some coaches forgot that the reason to play that level is to get your girls exposure and prepare them to be ready for college ball, not to win games. May sound "pollyanna-ish" but that is really the goal.- miket4God
